Does God the Mother Exist?

Who Is God the Mother?
To know who God the Mother is, we first need to understand God’s creation. All living things created by God such as birds in the sky, fish in the sea, animals on the ground and human being all receive life from their mothers. What is God’s will in allowing a mother to give birth to life? It is to show that just as we have a physical mother who gives life to our bodies, we also have a spiritual mother who gives life to our souls. Why did God create things in this way? Let us see Romans chapter 1.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Through God’s creation, we come to see God’s divine nature. All living things such as birds, fish, animals and people have their fathers and mothers. Why did God create living things to have fathers and mothers? God made them like this to show that God the Creator exists as the spiritual Father and Mother of our souls. God’s children not only have Father but also have Mother. Through Hebrews chapter 5 let us confirm this fact.
Hebrews 8:5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
God gave a command to Moses to build the tabernacle [temple] on earth to be exactly like the tabernacle in heaven. The earthly tabernacle was a visible replica of the invisible heavenly tabernacle. It is the principle of copy and reality. Families on earth were created using the same principle. The family on this earth, which is a copy of the heavenly one, consists of a father, a mother, and children. Likewise, the family in heaven, which is the reality, should consist of a spiritual Father, a spiritual Mother, and their children. The family system on earth, which is a replica, proves to us that in heaven there exists not only God the Father and the children of God but also God the Mother.
Since When Did God the Mother Exist?
When Christians hear about God the Mother, they are often shocked and say, “God the Mother? Since when?” This is because for a long time people have known of God the Father and never heard about God the Mother. Where does God the Mother first appear? We can find Her in the book of Genesis.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Genesis, the first book of the Bible, contains the history of creation. Specifically, Genesis 1:26 shows the history when God created human beings. What did God say when He was creating mankind? He said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.” If God the Father were the only Creator, He would have said, “Let me make mankind in my image, in my likeness.” However, He clearly said “us” and “our” to show that He was not alone.
Whom was God the Father speaking with? Let us see the next verse.
Genesis 1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
When God created mankind, how many images were created? Two images were created: male and female. In whose image were males and females created? They were created in the image of God. This means that God has two images: a male image and a female image. We have always called the male image of God Father. Then what should we call the female image of God who also exists? She is God the Mother.
In this way, the Bible testifies that just as we have parents on the earth, our souls also have parents, God the Father and God the Mother in Heaven.
Should We Believe in Both God the Father and God the Mother?
When Jesus came 2000 years ago, He taught us that the family system also exists in heaven.
Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…”
When Jesus Christ came, He taught us to believe in our Father who is in Heaven. He revealed that the male image of God is God our Father. From then on, people started to call God “Father.” And further acknowledging themselves as God’s children and not only as creatures. However, there must also be a mother who gives birth to life, for a man to become a father. When we look at Apostle Paul’s testimony in the book of Galatians, he testified that we do have our Mother in Heaven too.
Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
Apostle Paul spoke of the Jerusalem that is above. Where does “above” refer to? Above refers to the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, the Jerusalem that is above means Heavenly Jerusalem. Whom did Apostle Paul say Heavenly Jerusalem is to us? He said that She is our Mother. “Our” refers to God’s children. God’s children do not only have God the Father but also they have God the Mother in Heaven. This is why God’s children are called the children of the free woman.
Galatians 4:31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
The “our” who are God’s children are called children of the free woman. Whom does the “free woman” here refer to? According to Galatians 4:26, the free woman is God the Mother. Just as the Bible testifies about God the Father, it also testifies about God the Mother. In the last days God the Father and God the Mother appear together to give us the water of life.
Revelations 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
In these last days, the Spirit and the Bride are calling all mankind to receive the free gift of the water of life. The water of life is eternal life (John 4:14). Who are the Spirit and the Bride giving eternal life in the last days? They are the male image of God — God the Father — and the female image of God — God the Mother. Undoubtedly, God the Mother exists. God the Father Himself gave this testimony.
Revelation 22:16-17 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
The testimony about the Spirit and the Bride is from Jesus Christ, who is God the Father. Even though for a long time people only knew God the Father, God the Father Himself testifies that we also have God the Mother, who has existed from the beginning. Let us believe in God the Mother, Heavenly Jerusalem, so that we may receive eternal life and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
