Christ Ahnsahnghong and Miracles

Did Christ Ahnsahnghong Perform Any Miracles?
One of the most common reasons people do not believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong as the Second Coming Christ is that, He did not perform miracles. Some even scoff, saying, “Jesus performed miracles such as healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind and even raised people from the dead. What miracles did Christ Ahnsahnghong perform for you?”
Since Jesus Christ performed these miracles 2000 years ago, people today expect the same in this age. They insist that they will only believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong if He too performed miracles like Jesus Christ. However, people who are setting this as a standard of distinguishing the true Christ from the false, do not even know why Jesus Christ performed miracles to begin with.
We must first understand why Jesus Christ performed miracles 2000 years ago, and furthermore, we need to know what the true miracle we should look for in these last days is and how we can attain it. Before we focus on these points, let us examine the teachings of Jesus regarding miracles in the last days.
Can We Recognize Christ Through Miracles?
Most Christians today are convinced that they will recognize Christ at His Second Coming through miracles. In reality, this is not how we can recognize Christ who comes into the world in secret to restore the new covenant and pronounce impending judgement on the world.
Matthew 24:24-25 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.
If both the true Christ and false ones perform signs and wonders, then how can we distinguish with our physical eyes who to follow? As we can see, the method which the false prophets and messiahs use to deceive, even the elect if that were possible, is to perform miracles.
If we focus on signs and wonders, our souls will be at risk of following false prophets and messiahs and we can never obtain the goal of our faith, the salvation of our souls.
Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. Those who saw Jesus Christ perform the wondrous sign of feeding a crowd of five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, were temporarily moved by the miracle. However, did their faith grow? Did they stay with Jesus Christ until the very end?
John 6:14 After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
John 6:66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
When Jesus Christ taught the same crowd about the words of truth and how to grab hold of God’s salvation, many of them turned away and never followed Him.
Let us see the mindset of those who never deserted Him.
John 6:67-68 You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Did Simon Peter say Jesus Christ has the signs or miracles? No, certainly not. It is only through the words of Jesus Christ that we can receive eternal life. How moved Jesus Christ must have been to see such a faith!
We must realize the power of God’s word, the same word that created the heavens and earth from nothing and the word that has the power to give blessings, especially the blessing of eternal life.
Simon Peter’s faith is the kind of faith, we Christians today who have the hope to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, must have. This is a faith that does not rely on signs or miracles but only depends on the words of God.
Matthew 16:1, 4 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven… A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it…
Can a wicked person receive salvation from God? They can never receive any blessings from God, especially the blessing of salvation. Likewise, those who look for a sign in this age, like the Jews, will miss out on the precious opportunity of receiving the Messiah but rather Christ will become a stumbling block to them.
The Reason Why Jesus Christ Performed Miracles
Then, why did Jesus Christ perform miracles when He came 2000 years ago? It was to fulfill the prophecies that the Old Testament prophets had written about Him. Such as, where He would come from, how He would be born, the suffering He would undergo, and performing miracles were all part of the prophecies that Jesus Christ had to fulfill. This was how the disciples could realize He was the Christ who was to come to the earth to save mankind.
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The prophet Isaiah wrote about the coming of Christ about 700 years before His birth through Mary. In addition to this, there are many other prophesies regarding the work that Jesus Christ would do written in the book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 35:3-6 Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.” Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
The prophet Isaiah wrote that among the things that will happen when God comes in the flesh is, the eyes of the blind will be opened, the ears of the deaf unstopped, and the lame will leap like deers. Jesus Christ did not perform these miracles by chance but rather through them, He could testify to the prophecies written about Him.
Matthew 11:4 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
When John the Baptist asked if Jesus was the Messiah or if they should expect someone else, Jesus Christ answered by quoting the words of the prophet Isaiah which were testifying about Him. This shows us we must rather focus on the words of prophecy rather than on miraculous works.
Luke 24:13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.
After Jesus Christ resurrected, He appeared first to the two disciples who were on their way to Emmaus and also the 11 who were gathered together. Now His disciples were all kept from recognizing Him however, what did Jesus Christ use to testify about Himself?
Luke 24:27, 44 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself… He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
Jesus Christ could have performed more miracles as a way to prove to them that He had risen, however, instead, He taught them the scriptures, the words of prophecies that point to Him, the Messiah. In the same way, we must never look to miracles to realize the Christ but rather study the prophecies of the Bible diligently until we are thoroughly convinced of them and until the morning star rises in our hearts.
The Prophecies of the Bible Testify to the True Christ
Then, what kind of mindset must we have towards the prophecies of the Bible?
1 Thessalonians 5:20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt…
The Pharisees, Sadducees and the teachers of the law were all very well educated, had high social positions and were the leaders of the Jewish faith at that time, then how could they commit such a fatal mistake of missing the very Messiah they were so eagerly waiting for?
They only concentrated on the outward appearance of Jesus, only treating the prophecies of the Bible with contempt, even though they saw the miracles Jesus Christ carried out.
It is written in the Bible what has been will be again and what has been done will be done again (Ecc 1:9). This means that today too, pastors, theologians and experts of the Bible will lean on their own knowledge and social status instead of focusing on the words of prophecy. Thus, they deny Christ Ahnsahnghong, the Savior in the age of the Holy Spirit.
All this history teaches us that miracles do not strengthen our faith and do not help us to get closer to God and the kingdom of heaven.
John 5:39 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me…
Not only do the scriptures testify about the first coming of Christ but also the Second Coming of Christ in the last days.
The members of the World Mission Society Church of God believe in God the Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother because the prophets prophesied that when Christ comes a Second time, He will appear with Wife, His Bride and give Eternal Life by inviting people to the Heavenly Wedding Banquet.
What Is the Miracle Christ Ahnsahnghong Performed?
Christ Ahnsahnghong has performed the greatest miracle ever, which is opening the way for us to have Eternal Life, that is, to never die!
If someone is cured of a terminal disease or is raised from the dead, this kind of news causes great commotion, however, can that person live forever? No, they will face death eventually, though they live for a little while. It will be even more pitiful if they are raised and ultimately fail to receive salvation.
Then, can we really say this kind of occurrence is a true miracle in the true sense of the word? The true miracle, we mortal beings who are destined to die forever in the fiery furnace can ever hope for, is to live forever in the kingdom of heaven, where joy and happiness overflow.
Can there be a greater miracle than this? Never!
Jesus Christ established the Passover of the new covenant through His flesh and blood 2000 years ago. However, this precious truth was trampled on by satan, meaning that for more than 1600 years, mankind has been reeling in the agony of death, having no hope for Eternal Life.
Then, who has brought back the Passover of the New Covenant which guarantees us the miracle to rise from the dead on the last day and have Eternal Life? He is Christ Ahnsahnghong.
John 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed… When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
Who can win a victory over death and change us to beautiful, glorious angels who will reign in the kingdom of Heaven forever and ever? Through the Passover of the New Covenant, Christ Ahnsahnghong will show His glory on the last day by performing the greatest miracle ever! Transforming us into glorious angels who will reign forever and ever.
Therefore, let us recognize Christ through the prophecies of the Bible, and not through miraculous signs and wonders, except through the true miracle of Eternal life. In this way, we can be thoroughly convinced that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the True Christ who saves us in these last days.
