The Goal of Our Faith

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

According to the above verse, everything on earth has its time and purpose. For example, students attend school to receive an education, and patients go to hospitals to receive treatment for illnesses. We can apply the same way of thinking to the work of God’s redemption, which is completed according to its time, age, and purpose. Similarly, our lives of faith have a purpose that needs to be achieved. Then, what is the purpose of our faith?

1 Peter 1:8-9 “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

The purpose of our faith, or rather the goal of our faith, is to receive the salvation of our souls, that is, eternal life. To achieve our goal, we must know the one who can give salvation, that is, the Saviour.

The Saviour of Each Age and the New Name

To give eternal life, God has divided His work of redemption over 6000 years into three ages, and according to each age, there is a saviour who appears with a different name in each age.

Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”

When God gave the command to baptise people, He instructed that they should be baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, meaning the Father has His name, which is Jehovah, the Son has His name, which is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit has His name. As we already know, the names of the Father and the name of the Son, we also need to know the name of the Holy Spirit.

Accordingly, there are three ages: the age of the Father, where God the Father, Jehovah, appears as the Saviour.

Isaiah 43:11 “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no saviour.”

The age of the Son, where God the Son, Jesus, appears as the Saviour.

Acts 4:11-12 “He is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Then, what about the age of the Holy Spirit? Surely God the Holy Spirit will appear with His name as the Saviour in this age.

Revelation 3:12 “Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name.

Here it is written that there will be a new name; we can see these words repeated in another verse.

Revelation 2:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.”

Once again, we know that a new name will be written on a stone. According to 1 Peter 2:4, the stone represents Jesus, which means that when Jesus Christ appears in the last days as the saviour in the age of the Holy Spirit, He will appear with a new name.

How Can We Know the New Name?

When the Second Coming Christ appears in the age of the Holy Spirit, He will not come with the name ‘Jesus’, but rather He will come with a new name. So, how can we know the new name of the saviour? It is only through the Bible.

John 5:39 “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me.”

In the above verse, Jesus Christ teaches that it is through the scriptures that we come to understand Him, importantly, understand Him as the saviour. Similarly, if we want to know about the saviour in the age of the Holy Spirit, we must study the Bible and the Bible prophecies. Let us confirm this once again.

John 5:46-47 “If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”

When Jesus Christ says, “If you believed Moses”, in this verse, He is referring to the Pentateuch, the books of the Bible which Moses wrote. This implication means that if they had believed in the Bible and the Bible prophecies, they would believe in Jesus Christ, who came in fulfilment of the Bible prophecies.

The difference between the Pharisees and the disciples who followed Jesus Christ was how they viewed Him. The Pharisees only looked at Jesus from a physical point of view, whereas the disciples saw from a spiritual point of view, believing in the Bible prophecies they saw Jesus Christ fulfil. Those of us living in the age of the Holy Spirit should learn from this. To know the saviour in this age who comes with a new name, we must find the one who fulfils the Bible prophecies.

The Bible Prophecies and Their Fulfilment.

The saviour and the Bible go hand in hand, so for us to know about the saviour, we must study the Bible and the prophecies. When we find the one who fulfils the Bible prophecies, we can say, ” Surely this is our God.” One such prophecy that has been fulfilled is through the Passover of the New Covenant.

Isaiah 25:6-8 “On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all people the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

God holds a banquet with aged wine; with this wine, He will destroy death. According to the 66 books of the Bible, the only wine that can destroy death, granting eternal life, is the Passover wine. However, the above verse calls it ‘aged wine’ because at the Council of Nicea, the Passover of the New Covenant that Jesus Christ established was abolished and has not been kept from A.D. 325 until now. This wine will not remain hidden forever because when God comes a second time, He will come with the Passover of the New Covenant.

Isaiah 25:9 “In that day they will say. “Surely this is our God, we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

The one who will restore the Passover of the New Covenant in the age of the Holy Spirit will be God who comes as the Second Coming Christ to bring salvation to all mankind. The one who restored the Passover of the New Covenant after 2000 years is Christ Ahnsahnghong, He is the Second Coming Christ. Christ Ahnsahnghong is the new name of the Holy Spirit.

Let us continue to study the Bible prophecies diligently so we can have firm faith in the new name and in the saviour who has come in the age of the Holy Spirit.
