Forgiveness of Sins in the Bible and Christ Ahnsahnghong
26 December 2024
In our daily lives there may be quarrels or discords that arise and lead people to hurt each other. This often ends with one of the two individuals admitting their wrongs and asking for forgiveness. Many may wonder why there is mention of the forgiveness of sins in the Bible. The Bible tells us that discord took place between God and us in Heaven (Isaiah 59:2). The Bible testifies that all mankind were living in glory and splendor happily with God in Heaven (Ezekiel 28:11-14; Proverbs 8:30). However, because of our pride, arrogance and greed we came to sin against God by trying to overthrow His heavenly throne and we were cast down to this earth which is a spiritual prison for our soul (Ezekiel 28: 15-17; Isaiah 14:12-16; Psalms 102: 19-20.) To return to our hometown Heaven we must first seek the Forgiveness of Sins in the Bible.
Why Must We Seek the Forgiveness of Sins in the Bible?
Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
In the Kingdom of Heaven where we once lived there is no death only joy and happiness for eternity. Then, why are we here on this earth full of pain where no one can escape death? The Bible tells us that it is because of our sins.
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”
Due to our sins, we are far from God. As sinners we must return to God before we face the punishment of our sins.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
According to the above verse, the punishment for our sins against God is death. This means that, if we do not receive the forgiveness for our sins we will die. Then, what kind of death is this referring to? Is it talking about the usual death of the body which we know? In actuality, there is another form of death which is much more dreadful than that of the body, it is the death of the soul described in the Bible.
Revelation 20:12-15 “…each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.”
The Bible testifies that after the death of the body the soul is judged according to one’s own deeds and the one who failed to have his or her name written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire. In other words, those who did not receive the forgiveness of sins will be thrown into hell. From this we can establish that the biggest reason we must seek Forgiveness of Sins in the Bible is to avoid the punishment of hell, the death of our soul.
Who Can Forgive Our Sins Committed in Heaven?
Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
The reason for Christ coming to this earth is to seek the lost. And in the following verse He revealed who the lost are.
Matthew 9:13 “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Here, Christ said that He came to call the sinners and in the former verse He spoke about the lost. If we compare the word “seek” and the word “call” they are one and the same. This tells us that the lost are sinners. But the question is, where did Jesus Christ come from? He came from Heaven (John 6:38) and where did He come to? He came down to this earth. Then, what did He come to give us? He came to give us what we need the most, the Forgiveness of Sins.
Matthew 9:1-6 “…Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins…”
Our Christ Jesus testified that He Himself is the One who grants us the forgiveness of sins. This is why the Bible clearly tells us that no one except God can forgive our sins.
Mark 2:7 “…Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Since only God can forgive us of our sins, we must make every effort to work out our salvation by reconciling to God. Only then can we be forgiven and have the hope to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
How Can We Receive the Forgiveness of Sins?
Ephesians 1:7 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”
1 Peter 1:18-19 “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
The Bible repeatedly testifies that the only way for us to be forgiven is through Jesus’ precious blood. This means that, our loving God had to shed His precious blood so that we can be forgiven. In this age we are living in, how can we receive this great love of God?
Luke 22:7-8 “Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
On the evening of the fourteenth day of the first month (Leviticus 23:4) Jesus directed the disciples to prepare for the Passover.
Luke 22:15 “And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.”
Christ did not simply want to keep the Passover but He eagerly desired to do so. Why did Christ put so much emphasis and passion into establishing the Passover in the New Testament? It is because the Passover contains His precious blood which gives us the forgiveness of sins.
Luke 22:19-20 “And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.””
Jesus took the Passover wine and said it is His blood which is poured out for us the sinners. Christ promised that the Passover wine is His own blood that gives us the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:26-28.) Since Jesus put His blood in the Passover ceremony, the only way for us to receive the forgiveness of sins is to celebrate the Passover.
Unfortunately, after the death of the Apostles this precious feast of life containing Jesus’ blood which gives us the Forgiveness of sins completely disappeared. It was in A.D 325 at the Council of Nicaea that the Passover was abolished.
According to historic records for about 1600 years no one could celebrate the Passover. This means that no one could receive the forgiveness of sins. Then, how can we who are living in this age be saved without celebrating Passover? Who must come and restore it for us? The Bible testifies that God Himself must come restore the truth of the Passover.
Christ Ahnsahnghong Who Restored the Passover and Gave Us the Forgiveness of Sins
John 14:18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
2000 years ago, Christ Jesus Himself testified that He will not leave us as orphans but that He Himself will come to save us. The Bible validates these words of Christ by speaking of His Second Coming.
Hebrews 9:28 “So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
The Bible clearly testified that Jesus would appear a Second time to bring salvation to His children. Then, how can we know who our Christ is? He must give us the forgiveness of sins by restoring the Passover of the New Covenant that He established at His First Coming. The One who restores the Passover which was abolished in A.D 325 and starts to preach it is surely our God!
Then, who brought back the Passover which was not kept for 1600 years and gave us the Forgiveness of Sins? He is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Christ Ahnsahnghong was baptized in the year 1948 according to the prophecy of the Fig Tree and began His ministry, preaching the gospel of the New Covenant. He returned as He promised and testified the way in which we can participate in His flesh and blood, that it is through the Passover of the New Covenant. Therefore, Christ Ahnsahnghong is surely our God, the Second Coming Jesus and our Savior who restored the Passover to give us the forgiveness of sins testified in the Bible (Isaiah 25:6-9.) Let us believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong God our Father, keep the Passover of the New Covenant to receive the forgiveness of sins and return to Heaven together.
